In Suffolk you are allowed to shoot at a range. Deer hunting is by shotgun slug or bow only. You are not allowed to shoot rifles or handguns outside of a range. However it all blurs when it comes to the shoreline where you are allowed to use firearms when shooting offshore...ducks/geese...piping plover...OOOPS!
