I have an older Blackhawk jack. It is 4 ton and 4 feet long, works really good on heavy things like the PW.
It goes up without a problem and holds the load. It will come down with a load normally too. The problem, though, is that recently it will not retract on its "own weight", I have to push it down with a little pressure. This is sort of a hassle for example when you let the truck down and when the wheels touch, the jack no longer will retract downward any more without pushing on the saddle. I have lubed it up so there is plenty of grease, etc at the joints.
IS there a relief port or something that is clogged, and if so is it easy to clean out? They still make rebuild kits but they are about $150 dollars or more and I thought there was an easier fix?
