O/T Remington 700 danger ?????

My second oldest son calls me said he watched a T V documentary about the model 700 problems with the safety ? if you pull on the trigger with the safety on the gun will discharge when you open the bolt ? I shoot a 700 so does my brother >i have never pulled on trigger with the safety on i all ways push the safety off as i bare down on the target then squeeze off a round model 700s have been around a long time fact or fiction ~ Copey
