found a cummins site this morning that said that what happened to me is fairly common. turns out that about 60% of the people that posted said to pull the heavy loads in forth gear, but it was alright to pull on fairly flat ground in od. I turned the pump up about a month ago so that may be a factor. turns out I can find what the damage is by pulling the tailshaft housing. some kind of a retaining bolt has come off or the end of the shaft is broke off. I try to find out in the next few days and update. Dave.
