Coating inside of axle housings

I just cleaned up my centered rear axle and found some of the interior original paint sealer is coming off. Is there a product I can repaint the inner surfaces and prevent loose pieces from coming off again?. I have wire brushed and flushed the housing numerous times with varsol to clean and inspect it. It looks really good now but I would like to make sure in the future nothing happens to my new gears and bearings setup. Terry
