I have to agree with you, the OD is the best thing since sliced bread.
The majority of electrical gremlins are caused by a bad or missing ground. This is especially true on a newly restored vehicle, where everything is so nicely painted.
Now that the overdrive is working, why not just drive it to West Virginia and save the wear and tear on your trailer!
