It seems that if you can get this truck at a reasonable price. If it is not a daily driver. Run it as is. You can buy a lot of fuel for the dollars that you will spend trying to squeeze a few miles to the gallon on a truck from a era when poor mileage was the norm. I speak from my experience with my 68 W100 . It gets 4 or 5 MPG. How much money do I have to put in it to get 7 MPG? I drive it 400 or 500 miles a year. I continue to buy the fuel. But that is just me.
