Have any of you guys heard of setting the ignition timing by looking thru hole in the bellhousing of auto trans? I am trying to give it a tune up and set the timing to "specs" on my grandpas 72 dodge van camper. He had always set the timing by ear and I usually do too but I would like to see if it is even close to "specs". There is no way to see the front of the engine because it is quite cluttered up there. I appreciate any help. Thanks
