yeah, there are marks on the trans housing but there is nothing to reference to-no mark or anything, when i shoot the timing light thru the hole. it looks like you are looking at the torque converter and i am guessing that if it is ever removed and not put back at same position you want have a mark to reference to and i am guessing that this may be the case since my grandpa installed this rebuilt 360 in it about 20 years ago. thanks
