Let me begin by asking have any of you ever been near a wrecking yard? Every torch and hose there is coated with oil, and they don't blow up.
Let me make it real simple, Oxygen & oil don't care about each other until you get to high pressures. Once you reach a certain Oxygen pressure on any flamable be it oil, wood or even coal dust you have a Diesel engine. Therein lies the hazard.
Quit peein your pants and light the torch. The oil will shine the hose up real nice, and ain't likely to do any damage to the torch either.
