It was a long soggy day but I have a motor for the truck! Almost didn't happen but we worked it out.
Everything seemed good. CPL 1839, build date 9/16/04. It had no play in the turbo, the crank shaft has just under .010" end play, it has all it's accessories and brackets.
It still has the adapter plate and flywheel for the Alison tranny, (he originally said it didn't) he had a starter but didn't have the bolts, so once I find the right ones I should be able to turn over the engine.
He even through in some new filters that they had from somewhere.
Now I need to figure out how to install it!
