Ed, I am having the same issue with pressure building over time. I checked the push rod length and that did not solve it. My next task is to pull the MC like Vaughn says and see if I put it together wrong or if the tiny relief port (hole) is clogged.
Also I will recheck the brake shoe adjustment.
As for stopping, I had my shoes arched as per Steve Kaegi, and also have a Midland booster. When I apply the pedal, the truck stops REAL well.
BTW are you going to the West VA Rally?
