Hi Dan
The high range ratio is the same between the WC63 transfer ad the M37/power wagon transer 1 to 1 ( i believe)
The main advantage to the WC63 transfer is with the 1 to 1.5 your are actually splitting gears, so you have a true 8 speeds
with the 1 to 1.96 your 8 forward speeds are not evenly spaced. ex 3 low is almost the same as 2 high.
the truck should run at 50 to 55 without too much trouble with your engine upgrade
