My motor is an eather junkie

I would like to know how I can get my motor to kick the habbit. Its previovs owners got it hooked on the stuff. Must of been peer pressure. It sits there turning over and over but just wont start without the stuff. After it has had its fix and warms up the motor will start with just a tap of the key. What to do? What to do?
A concerned new parent.
