I really take no offense to his post, or any on the comments afterward.
I thought that including the title information was the best course of action.
Here in Texas, an (optional) attachment to the title is included, which a person is supposed to fill out and send to the DMV when they sell a vehicle. Used to be that title had to be notarized with buyer/seller to get a transfer.
One time I sold a Chevy truck, and about a year later the Border Patrol sent me a notcie that the truck had been seized and if I wanted it back I could pay $200, but no guaranty that I would end up with it. I passed. About another year goes by and I received a notice from TxDot or TNRCC that said someone reported it as Excessive Smoking Vehicle, was still under my name.
I sent them a letter and said I sold it years ago, and they never bothered me.
I consider a Power Wagon to primarily be an off-road vehicle, and it is old, project type of vehicle, collector truck that sits around with others in my shop. A primary daily driver would be a different story.
Appreciate your reply.
