Interesting about the lack of a cat. converter in your truck. Did it originate in a state that is not picky about CATs? I did a Google search ('98 Dodge 12 valve catalytic converter). Several results showed it to be a stock item. My 12 valve had one which I removed. The Jacobs website says there is a brake kit available for autos.
