Synthetic oil in the flathead

Time for an oil change in the Power Wagon. I have a six pack of Mobil 1 sitting on the shelf that I was considering using in the Power Wagon 251. I usually use 10W-40, no problems with that. Anyone switch over to synthetic in their flathead? Any issues or suggestions?
