Coolant recovery ques

We have a 318 Poly in our FFPW. It runs around 160-170F, but seems to lose coolant through the overflow, especially around turns. Keeping a lower coolant level doesn't seem to help much. Can a coolant recovery system be setup on a non-pressurized radiator?
