I have always been impressed by how strong brazing can be when done right. I used to take exhaust manifolds that were completely broken in half over to an old guy (British Figher Pilot WW2/road builder in african jungles after that) He could braze those manifolds back together beautifully and none ever came back! I have never tried that serious of a job but have become OK at brazing broken bolt ears on some manifolds occasionally. He taught me enough basics for the small jobs like that. Mine have held so far....
