Just bought a 3x4 pieces of 18 gauge and it cost $43.00. If you have never replace a body panel the roof is not a good place to start. It is very easy for the roof to ripple from heat. You will not want to use a flat piece of metal. You want the beads in it to help support itself. I have stretched some vehicles an the roof has always been the hardest part for me. With that being said the roof on a Carryall is pretty high and you might not be able to see it to well. It depends on how picky you want to be. t will help if you become familiar with hammer and dolly's to massage the metal after the weld. It will also help if you tig it as the weld is softer then with a mig.
