I knew it had to be somewhere.
Looks like I might be able to:
1) remove bracket and pedal from frame
2) Cut pedal at end of straight section
3) re-install bracket up side down
4) weld pedal back together.
5) a bit of black smithing to get the pedal arc back to proper fit in the draft pads.
This would give me a) the bracket, pre-fabbed. Flipping the bracket would rise the pivot, everything would be clear of road hazards b) the one piece pedal arm/push rod point c) weld would be far from pivot, less leverage against weld. Parts would all have appropriate side joggles for clearance.
I'm thinking trace the pedal and mount before cutting. Then weld back together to that pattern. Joint would be crooked from original, but eliminate the blacksmithing.
Won't have time to get underneath until next week. This weekend is my 90 year old helper's birthday celebration. Family coming in from New Hampshire and Colorado.
