Whoever told you that probably drove a Chevy. Dodge built a whole slew of them. It was the same basic truck as was built until the '94 model change. Except for drive train, the parts are the same as any Dodge pick up from the same approximate year. The 4X4 trucks were pretty much the same through the years with running changes to the driveline from time to time.
