Had this happen and thought you guys would get some enjoyment out of it.
I Went to town to get some steel for a PW project and stop by Lowe's for some unrelated stuff. Went up to the contractors checkout and thought to myself I'd better get a few extras of one item so turned around to get more. About 20 feet from the checkout I passed a young guy with his do-rag on and we made eye contact. Got my stuff and went back to the same register. I was right behind him.
We're waiting in line and the person in front of us is SLOWLY writing out a check. Do-Rag guy turns around and says, "You get out of line you loose your place man." I gave him a "are you kidding look" and clerk rolled her eyes. I turn around and the elderly black woman behind me is shaking her head. I let it go.
Do-Rag guy proceeds to dump his stuff on the counter and he is doing a plumbing job as he has a bunch of fittings. Line behind us is building up to about 8 people as the clerk starts scanning each one. He tells her they are all the same, trying to rush her, which she replied they were not the same. He had normal elblows and street el's mixed together and they cost more. He asked what the difference was and she informed him that street el's have a male and female end while a standard elbow has 2 female ends. He said he didn't want those and he'd be right back.
I perked up and said, "Looks like someone's going to the back of the line." I think I could see the steam coming off his head. I said," Hey, I don't make the rules. I was just told about it myself" To which a string of F bombs was thown. Clerk smiled and told him to take his fittings back and he stormed off.
The best thing about the whole episode was the little black lady tugged on my sleeve and said, "That was SWEET!"
Gave me a smile for the whole day.
