Yes the bell housing I have with the 540 is round with lots of holes. I kinda tried to look at the 7.3 but it doesn`t look to be round. I`ll look again, the reason I asked is I thought all diesels at least in the same hp range had the round bell housing mount holes on the motor, rather than the gasoline motor type bell housing. Then I will look at a chart if I can find one. I find it strange that the 7.3 would be any different.
