As Kevin recommended below use a fuel safe hose that is designed for a Push-lok (aka socketless push on) type fitting. Standard fuel line doesn’t contain the same amount or type of fiber-braid reinforcement. The hoop tension on the fittings barb will be excessively low…leading to a leak. Use something like Aeroquip FC332 not FC598(see link when improper hose is used as fuel line: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/fueling-injection/934214-aeroquip-socketless-hose-fc598-anyone-else-issues.html ) Parker doesn’t recommend using their Parker-Plus hose for gasoline, even in diesel applications they designate use of crimp type fittings. Despite this I have seen an enormous amount of Parker hose used on standard Push-lok fittings for short term(600-1,500 hrs) gasoline applications running 40-45psi without a fitting related failure. Long term weather/ heat related deterioration might be a different story.
