first external fluid leaks > internal fluid leaks into cylinder (which will produce white smoke in exhaust ) and/or coolant in the water or burnt head gaskets between cylinders that cause poor performace or "miss " type symptoms > quick check is fill rad to top watch for bubbles , cylinder pressure entering the cooling system > water in oil easy to spot milkshake in the pan > a compression test will show blown gaskets between cylinders usually the two cylinders afected will have the same low compression reading ~ Copey
