Dodge Ram question

I am looking at buying a new 09 Ram 2500. My current 03 Ram 2500 says "Heavy Duty" on the tail gate, the 09 does not. Are there "Heavy Duty" Ram 2500s and "light duty" 2500s? Or is the "Heavy Duty" badge just marketing?
