I missed a complete shifter mechanism on ebay today by .36 cents. I still don't know if all that goes on with that auction is legitimate.
Anyway, the screws were broken off in my housing, too, but I was able to turn them out by pressing my finger against the stub that barely stuck out and turning counter clockwise. They are 1/4" bolts. Commonly broken off. Maybe changing to 5/16" would be good. I bought the shifter mechanism from John Eickhof for $75.00, but the bracket was not included. VPW wanted $40.00 for just the bracket so I made one in a couple of hours. Sometime over the weekend I will get some measurements and draw a sketch.
