Nick, I used flanged grade 8 nuts behind the hitch to space it out, and then used gr 9 black frame bolts to put it on with. it's just right on the spacing. I feel like you do on cutting my truck and wouldn't do it. I feel like it's better to have it slightly not origdinal than to have a notch hacked in my crossmember. Dave.
