pretty hard. Whenyou say the mounting faces, are you saying the winch itself or the iron that attaches it to the mounts/frame? We've put some winches to the extreme tests here in NJ Forestry, but never bent the winch housings. If the housings are bent or elongated, I would say the whole thing is worth it's weight in scrap....Maybe it waas put together with grade 8 bolts?
