The winch on my PW was bent like a pretzel when I got it. It was bent 45 degrees or more down. The extensions were badly bent. the front and rear supports. The supports were actually twisted where the winch and side supports were bolted. The end support was bent badly and as it bent out from the spool the center hole with the bushing was clapsing into an egg shaped hole. The bronze gear which had littel wear had all of its teeth bent over and the roots of the teath were ripping out of the gear body.
I took all of the support pieces and bumbers to a shop and they used a 100 ton press to straighten everything. I had to replace the end support, bronze gear and all of the busings and bearings.
The truck was used in mine and obviously saw hard work.
