I got the truck running, and couldn't get it in gear... several suggestions pointed to a reversed clutch plate, so I took everything apart and the plate was in correctly... Not sure what the next guess would be. I have a mid 70s dodge 360 with a np435. The clutch takes ~100lbs of pressure to push in, but never seems to disengage. I was going to go pick up a diaphram pressure plate instead of the finger version to see if I could make it a little easier. Any other suggestions? Flywheel is flat, disk looks good, bearings look good, pressure plate looks ok, throwout arm looks ok. It was supposedly working when I purchased it.
