Thanks for the tip and ideas. I tried the heat until the tire started to ignite. Thought about letting it burn off but fire trucks would be rolling to the house. Heat and driving wedges between the ring and wheel did not budge. Decided to put the tire and wheel against a concrete wall and put the forks of a bobcat between the lock ring and wheel. After a couple of stabs all around the wheel the ring popped off! Original bead lock ring was still in place. Original tires and wheel from a 1943 WC 62. Thanks for the replies and input. Mike
