Anyone have any idea what kind of temperatures to expect for the rear diff? I noticed about a month or two ago after a fairly long drive my diff was quite hot, I measured it with an infrared temp gun and it was around 140 F. I don't have an overdrive and I have the 5.83 gears. After a 30 minute drive at 35 -40 mph (top speed pretty much) you cannot hold a hand on the differntial housing for very long. The bearings are cool to the touch and the brake drums are not hot it is just at the differential.
