i would not pull any thing apart untill you at least jack up the truck and test how everything is first > if the truck has been sitting there is room for things to sieze up even if well greased prior to letting it sit > could be in the steering colum the box a tight tie rod drag link ,any thing possiible > i would try that first the lube the front end and check the level of the steering box ~ Copey
