The power wagon does not use king pins, they have trunnion pins. If you didn't use shims, chances are the steering knuckle bearings are adjusted to tight. Properly adjusted, it will take 27-28 pounds of torque from a torque wrench to move them. This has to be done with the felt retainer/seal out or off. I would start there first.
