Pull the head. Probably a small part of the piston above the top ring has broken off and is lodge on the piston and hitting the head. The symptom is a small knock that gets big in a short period of time and stays or goes away if the piece is loose and passes out the exhaust. A rod knock comes on gradual and slow.
