BB, I'm with you. when I spooled up my winch I was going to use aircraft stainless in 7/16. the man said it would not tensile with carbon & checked the book, about 20% difference. (less) so I used carbon steel cable. on the up side, aircraft stainless stores way less energy than carbon cable, making it safer to use. oh well, just another opinion, or brown spot, as the case may be.
