Transfer Case Yoke press

Anyone ever replaced the yoke (transmission side) on a ?205? transfer case? I got one from the shop the guy says is a replacement, however I can only get it to go in 1/2 way. I tried threading the nut to press it on, but no luck. Any thoughts?
