2nd fuel pump?

the m37 has been running with a cilv. pw. fuel punp about 2 years until last week she stalls from no gas. I take the pump out and the lever arm that rides the cam is off! so we get to napa and put a new one in. runs great! 15 min. later same thing happens no gas broken arm on the pump again. any help on this one?
