I agree. I passed on the retreads I had found Stateside here, although I kicked it around quite a bit because they were cheap. But the thought of those things pealing apart and taking-out a 1st series rear fender wasn't too appealing - OUCH!
I'd bet those Mohawks have another 50 years on them so you probably have lots of time to shop around;)
