I have had several tell me to soak the clutch
plates with diesel. None have ever said it will ruin them.
I have also been told to tow it backwards and engage the clutch in and out.
I had a International TD6 that I tried both of these methods on and neither worked. But, it had been stuck for a long time. If you used this rig a year ago, it shouldn't be stuck to bad I wouldn't think.
