The smaller pulley will most noticeably effect
the output(less) at idle. The reason for two different numbers is most likely just the
current setting. The one replacement number may
be compromise between the two. If it's mechanical it should be adjustable. It can be baffling why so many different numbers. Most regulators of same basic field circuit(internally or externaly grounded) of same polarity can be made to work with a comparable generator
