cutting and welding frames for years to lengthen or shorten heavy truck frames or to repair collision damged heavys( some times double and triple framed equip) no problems and bolting spring hangers on !same on X members > stuff that carries 140,000lbs or more> its all in the fitting the welding or the bolting was not a issue if everything is to spec ~ Copey
