Trailer hitch problem

I need to rent 26’ straight box truck to move my friend to Texas from Virginia. The problem is he also has a 16’ tag along trailer full of his stuff. The trailer is set up for 2 5/16” ball and the rental truck as a 2” ball welded on the bumper. It’s a 1500mile trip with a wrong ball. Any ideas that dose not include a cutting torch. Has any one seen any adapters or ?????????
