Part-time 4x4 correct?I have lifted several W200s by adding leaf springs from parts trucks. The down side is that it will ride like a lumber wagon.I have also taken a set of extra springs and made cheap homemade lift blocks by cutting the centers out.I usually use a good piece of all-thread for the center bolt.Take one nut and grind it (tappered)to fit down in the perch, then you can use the extra length to pull your springs back together.I have ended up with 4 inches of lift and never had a drive line issue, although I never went out of my way to flex the suspension like rock crawlers do!I usually can find longer front U-bolts at Atwoods and rears at Oriellys. They say they dont have them, but they do.I have the part number for longer U-bolts if needed. email me if you want to do it this way and need more instructions.
