stainless on bare steel will corrode the the steel. it will come apart as you say, but the reason for the ease of disassembly is from the dissimilar metals working at each other and the fact the stainless wont rust. add water and road salt and you will have a problem. anti seize is a good thing. the permatex stuff - the grey stuff- even works in marine applications.
