Though I'd contemplate leaving the oil scraper out. A gazillion cars have come from Detroit since they went to two comps and one 3-piece oiler. Less rings = less friction = more horsepower.

But you would also need to contemplate which groove to leave empty. The three-piece goes in a groove with holes through to the inside, which would be OK if that groove was above the one for the scraper.
