I have a question for the experts. I am rebuilding a 230 and have a question about the proper order of the piston rings. The manual shows four rings, 2 compression rings and 2 oil scraper rings, top to bottom. The pistons I removed from the engine had 2 compression rings, 1 scraper ring, and a 3 piece modern oil control ring set on the bottom. The new ring set directions show 2 compression rings, 3 piece oil control ring, and the oil scraper ring on the bottom of the piston. What is the proper order of the rings top to bottom?
Thanks for the help,
