It is made by Gertag, an Austrian company who also makes makes transmissions for BMW, Mercedes, Audi and such.
I have been using Gertag transmissions in my BMW motorcycles for decades with minimal issues (I went through and rebuilt all my 20 year old plus motorcycle transmission a few years back as a precautionary measure).
I also have one installed in my 07 Ram 1500ST, 1/2 ton, short bed, 3.7 six cylinder. Once you get used to it, it is a fine shifting gear box, it uses ATF for a lubricant with an initial 15k change interval for heavy duty use. No changes necessary for normal use. With a six cylinder engine and a 3,300 pound towing limit, I suspect mine will never see "heavy" use. Oh, you need a metric allen wrench to change out the grease:-) I was tempted to put 80w-90 back in mine, but instead bought a cheap plastic pump and put ATF back into it. The pump is sealed in a plastic bag for the next time I need to pump ATF.
If you go to www.dodgeforum.com, there should be a discussion area on the gear box with ratios and such.
